In the morning, meet our driver and fellow travellers at a designated point in Lucknow and proceed towards Nepalgunj (188 kms / approx. 4 hours). En-route halt for tea/coffee and lunch. On arrival at Nepalgunj, check into your hotel/guest house for overnight stay.
Nepalgunj is a small border town offering basic to 3-star category hotels, subject to availability and flight operations to/from Simikot.
Early morning after breakfast, transfer to Nepalgunj Airport to board a scheduled fixed-wing aircraft to Simikot. Evening free to explore and enjoy the serene surroundings of Simikot.
Board a helicopter from Simikot to Hilsa (approx. 25 minutes). Helicopters operate with a maximum of 6 passengers per flight; waiting time may apply.
After completing customs and immigration formalities at Hilsa, walk for about 25 minutes to Sher village and then drive to Taklakot (Burang).
Dinner and overnight stay at hotel/guest house in Taklakot.
All meals and overnight stay at Taklakot. This day is reserved for acclimatization. Pilgrims may explore local markets or participate in light trekking activities organized by the guide.
After breakfast, drive to holy Lake Mansarovar (90 km / approx. 2 hours). En-route witness Rakshas Tal (Lake of Demons) and get the first glimpse of Mount Kailash.
Stay near Chui Gompa at Mansarovar. Time free for worship, meditation, holy dip (weather permitting) and spiritual activities. Dinner and overnight stay near Lake Mansarovar.
Early morning light breakfast followed by drive to Darchen / Tarboche. Start Mount Kailash Parikrama from Yam Dwar and trek towards Dirapuk (12 kms / 5–6 hrs).
Overnight stay at Dirapuk guest house with the closest view of the North Face of Mount Kailash. Witness the stunning Golden Kailash view (weather permitting).
Second and most challenging day of Kailash Parikrama. Trek towards Zuthulphuk crossing Dolma La Pass (5650 m). View the sacred Gauri Kund (Parvati Sarovar) en route.
Overnight stay at Zuthulphuk guest house.
Trek back to Darchen (8 km / 2–3 hrs). Pilgrims who skipped Parikrama will join the group at Darchen. Drive back to Taklakot via Mansarovar Lake.
Overnight stay at Taklakot.
Early morning drive to Chinese border and complete immigration formalities. Walk to Hilsa, board helicopter to Simikot, then connect flight to Nepalgunj. Drive back to Lucknow where the Yatra concludes.
